これまで、マウスPGC-1αには、exon 1の異なるPGC-1α-aとPGC-1α-bが存在する事が知られていた。

今回の研究では、ヒトPGC-1α-bのプロモーター解析を行い、MyoD、MRF4、CREBの標的である事を報告した。
